Elisabeth Ronley (maiden name Donley) is an artist and educator based out of Oakland, California. She was raised with a paintbrush in her hand within a family of artists, and was heavily involved in a professionally equipped art studio for teens called Youth Arts Collective through high-school and early college. She started sharing her love of art and nature with students in 2006 while studying anthropology with a physical science focus at UC Berkeley. Teaching with materials from jewelry, to paint, fimo, and plaster, Elisabeth worked with students ages 5-13 at the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay where she later became the JCC Afterschool-Oakland Director, Assistant Director of Camp Tzofim, and ran a Jewelry Specialty Summer Camp in 2012. In summer 2012, she stepped back from her managerial work at the JCC to focus on her own art, and to pursue more direct service teaching. Currently, Elisabeth is working with preschool aged children with an art and science based curriculum and continuing work on her Oakland Nocturnes: “Paraconstellated” and “Unconstellated”.
